He's a "wolf".......and Hi/Lo Thursday
Tonight was Matthew's Blue & Gold Banquet, for Cub Scouts. We had a medieval feast of riblets, potatoes, garlic bread and fruit. We had all "finger foods", because long ago, there were no utensils, unless you brought your own...Yikes! So Matthew is no longer a Tiger Cub.....He is now a Wolf! It was a fun evening of entertainment, from movies, to a ventriloquist and skits. The boys were cracking up! Even Michael had a really good time!

Wordless Wednesday & Pray for me Pray for others
I participate in "Pray for Me... Pray for Others" on the Riggs Family Blog. Check out their blog to add your prayer request. Wednesday is now known as "Pray for me...Pray for others" on the Riggs blog - and they want blog authors to post their prayer request and then post a prayer request that they have for another person/family/situation. Pray for Me
I have lots of things going on right now...just trying to keep up and keep the focus on the important things!

100 down, and many more to go........
We had a really good weekend.....

We exchanged gifts, I got beautiful flowers from David and a red rose from each of the boys.
The boys got new V-day Webkins and some candy and a new I-penguin.We got David a new Wii game he has been wanting.
We took the boys out for lunch to Olive Garden, and then picked them up heard shaped pizzas for dinner and I made them a big heart shaped chocolate chip cookie. They had a sleepover and two sitters(best friends from school) we left the boys for a night of fun, and headed over to our friends Teresa & Gene's for dinner. We met them 12 years ago, while eating dinner out on Valentine's Day. We were seated next to each other in a tiny bistro and became instant friends...We have since attended each others weddings, and spent every Valentine's Day together since. Now they are pregnant with their first babies, TWINS! A boy & girl due in about 4 weeks. We are so excited for them and cannot wait meet them!
Teresa made an incredible beef tenderloin with a gorgonzola sauce, she also made a yummy tomato red onion salad. I made twice-baked potatoes and a few appetizers. I also made these for dessert! They were delicious!
We had a wonderful Valentine's Day!

This is my 100th post! I wanted to do something different, which is why I had been posting less this week, but I could not decide what to do...so instead I changed my look and I picked the song "100 years"......Hope you like it :)
To help me "celebrate" I would love to hear from some of my "silent followers", you can leave a message or click on the right and become an "official follower".
Thanks so much :)

My Hi's this week..
Matthew's class led in chapel this week and he had two speaking parts. I was so proud of him, I was proud of the whole class. It actually made me tear up to hear them all talk about love, and Jesus. I feel so blessed that he is in such a wonderful school, with the best families!
We have a 4 day weekend coming up! Matthew is off tomorrow and Monday! I love days off from school :)
Valentine's Day- I love it! I love chocolate covered strawberries too :)
Abby is coming home....AMEN!
My Lo's this week..
I stumbled across a few new blogs recently and have felt so sad and anxious for these people. I tend to "carry" people's grief with me. This has been a lo for me this week for sure.

Tuesday Treats.....
*UPDATE...These were delicious, would work well for all holidays :)Okay, I found this recipe on this web-site and I think they look pretty yummy! We are going to our friends house for dinner on Valentines Day. I am bringing a couple of things, and dessert is one of them. This might be the "one"....
If anyone else has a favorite Valentine's Day recipe, please share :)
(Let's Make) Whoopie Pies
Ingredients
2 cups all-purpose flour
2/3 cups cocoa
1-1/2 teaspoons baking soda
1 stick butter (1/2 cup), softened
1 cup firmly packed light-brown sugar
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup buttermilk
White crystal sugar
Filling:
3/4 stick unsalted butter (6 tablespoons), softened
2 cups powdered sugar
1 jar (7-1/2 ounces) marshmallow cream, such as Marshmallow Fluff
2 teaspoons vanilla
Red food coloring
Directions
1. Heat oven to 350°F. Grease 2 large baking sheets. In medium bowl, combine flour, cocoa, and baking soda. In large bowl, with mixer on high speed, beat together butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes. Add egg and vanilla, and beat to combine. Alternate adding flour mixture and buttermilk in small batches, beginning and ending with flour mixture. Mix until smooth, occasionally scraping sides of bowl.
2. With a tablespoon, spoon mounds of batter 2 inches apart onto baking sheets. Sprinkle half with crystal sugar. Bake 15 minutes or until tops are puffed and cakes spring back when touched. Transfer to a rack and cool completely.
3. To make filling: In medium bowl, with mixer on high speed, beat together butter, powdered sugar, marshmallow cream, and vanilla until smooth, about 3 minutes. Add a drop or two of food coloring, and mix to tint pink. Makes about 1-1/2 cups of filling.
4. Spread a rounded tablespoon of filling on flat sides of half the cakes. Top with other cakes.

Baby Shower & Bowling...
I had a busy Sunday, first I went to my friend Jessica's baby shower. Jess and her husband Patrick are expecting their first baby, Charlie he is due to arrive on April 18th. Jess has had a difficult pregnancy and has spent most of her pregnancy on bed rest, so the shower was actually held at Jess's house. My best friend Natalie and Jessica's Mom threw the shower. They had all kinds of yummy things to eat and my personal favorite, sherbet punch!
We are so excited for Jessica & Patrick and cannot wait to meet baby Charlie :)
These were darling little "C" cookies, that Natalie got for favors for the shower.
Mom to be.....
This was one of the things that I got Jessica, Charlie's 1st piggy bank :)
Meet Baby Charlie!
BFF's Jess & NatalieAfter I left the shower, I met Dave and the boys for an afternoon of bowling with his family. We bowled two games and then went to have Pizza. It was a fun afternoon. Matthew & Michael love their cousins especially Josh. He is a year older than Matthew and the boys love playing with him. Since the boys are in different schools and we are all so busy, we do not get together as often as we should. It was a really fun time, an we look forward to the next time!
Bowling with the cousins, then we had pizza afterwords!I had another blessed & wonderful weekend with my family and friends.
I am so thankful to God for all I have.
*Please take a minute and say a prayer for this family. They lost their precious
