Let's Give A Little Jesus.....
It is all women, and either you "host" a table, or you are "invited" to one. Dinner is provided and the hostess sets their own table of ten and supplies dessert. I missed last years, so this was my first one. I was invited by my friend Bev, to sit at her table. The table looked beautiful; it was decorated with a silver tree and blue ornaments and decorations. We had beautiful silver accented plates to eat on. We also had ornaments to take home, one silver snowflake and one snowflake with our name on it. After we had dinner, we had a story read to us about CHRISTmas. Then we sang Christmas carols and finished with all of us holding a candle in the dark, singing Silent Night. It was really beautiful! I have to admit, I was a little sad singing the songs. First, I LOVE music and Christmas carols always remind of the reason for the season, the birth of our savior. Also I was thinking of my Mom, I was remembering her singing the same songs, all of my life. I guess that when you spend 34 Christmas's with someone, it is hard to imagine them not there anymore...especially this time of the year!
During the story, this Christmas card was shared with us.... A TRUE reminder of what CHRISTmas is really about! This Christmas ... Let's Give a Little Jesus, a thoughtful word or deed,
An act of generosity for someone who's in need.
Let's Give a Little Jesus to everyone we meet --
The salesclerk or the server, the person on the street.
Let's Give a Little Jesus, that's what really counts --
Not what's spent or bought, for whom, in what amounts.
Let's give a little Jesus to everyone, large or small...
For Jesus, the Messiah, is the Greatest Gift of All!

Trick or Treat Thursday....
The boys and I went to Boo at The Zoo tonight with "Miss Jenny"(my friend and the boys 1st ever babysitter), her niece Sarah and nephew Jake. Dave was at the hockey game with a client, we missed him and he missed a great time! We had so much fun, there were scary tunnels, a funny show with live animals, sliding, rides on the carousel, fireside story time, snack and more..The boys wanted to wait and wear their costumes tomorrow night, so they asked if they could be soccer players? They looked so cute! was a beautiful day and night here and it is supposed to be the trend for the next few days....

What about you? Do you have any good ones?
We have another busy weekend ahead....Tomorrow there is a Halloween party, and we will trick or treat and have dinner at my friend Natalie's house. Saturday we actually have no soccer games, but are going to see Thomas the Train, plus we will "fall back", gaining an hour of sleep..(YES,we need it), but losing an hour of daylight :( Sunday will be filled with church, scouts, dinner with my dad, and teacher conferences. Hopefully I will have time to post an update :)
I hope you all have a wonderful and blessed Halloween with your families...

Today I am thankful to God for his precious gift to my wonderful friend Lucy her husband George and their daughter Magnolia. They are having a baby, due in April!!! Many of you know Lucy's story and what an incredible person she is! The Lord has blessed her in so many ways, but she has traveled down some very long roads to get where she is now. I am SOO excited for her and her family and will be praying for them ALL the way through their journey to becoming a family of four :)Congratulations & Love

Lucy, George & Magnolia
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.
