Hi/Lo Thursday

This post is the 2nd post of my new "Hi/Lo Thursday" posts started on the Riggs Family Blog (http://www.riggsfamilyblog.com/)
If you have not visted their blog, you should...it is worth the read!

The Hi part of my week was watching the football game with my boys and getting to see Kurt Warner earn his ticket to the Superbowl. I am so excited for him, and cannot wait to root for the Arizona Cardinals in 2 weeks!
The other Hi part of my week, was Matthew's PERFECT report card! I am so proud of him!

The Lo part of my week.... well that would be probably be the reminder that today it has already been 9 months since my Mom passed away!
But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
Matthew 6:33
(One of Kurt Warner's favorites, and such a good one!)

Making homemade pizzas for dinner & sundaes for dessert

Vicki & I

Lots of good times.....

We had a wonderful trip to visit our friends, Vicki, Hunter, Elizabeth, Lauren & Hannah(the dog).
They moved to Dyersburg over the summer, and this was our first time to make it down for a visit. We arrived on Saturday after lunch, and settled in. Then Vicki & I went for a "tour of the town". We visited a really cute shop called Fiddlesticks, full of all kinds of things. Vicki purchased a really cute platter and I bought a few appetizer dips, then we grabbed a coffee on the way back to the house.
Vicki had everything bought for the kids to make their own mini pizzas for dinner. They loved it and had so much fun making their own creations. After they ate their pizzas, they got to make their own sundaes. The kids had fun playing Wii together, watching movies and so much more!
We had an awesome dinner that Vicki made, pork tenderloin, twice baked potatoes, sauteed zucchini & squash and salad with rolls. For dessert, we had homemade apple pie!
We enjoyed a wonderful dinner with some good wine and great friends!

Sunday we had breakfast, then hung out for awhile. Vicki was helping us pick out our paint colors for the remodel in progress.... Decided to clean & pack up and go out to lunch. We had lunch at this great little place and then said our goodbyes, and headed home.
Thanks Vicki, Hunter, Elizabeth & Lauren for making us feel right at home during our visit! We've missed you guys! We love your new house and can't wait to come back again :)

We made it home safe and sound and enjoyed an awesome football game(that we recorded) and cannot wait for the Superbowl!
Go Cardinals!!!!!
