Saturday, Soccer & More

We left for our 1st soccer games this morning at 9:30AM, we arrived back home at 3:30PM...
This consisted of Michael's game at 10:00, Matthew's at 10:20,where he scored the ONLY goal!), which I missed, because I was taking Michael to his, and Dad is Matthew's coach. Then off to school for me to work my "required" concession stand duty for the season, while the boys ran around with all of their friends and watched MORE soccer... ..
Matthew asked me today when basketball starts...Ughhh :)
We then raced home threw the boys in the shower, grabbed a dessert I had made this morning at 8:oo AM, and headed to our friends, Staci & Mike's house for dinner, hoping Michael would "snooze" in the car(he did). We had a great evening, with good food and friends... We were finally able to meet our friends Kelly & Dave's baby-Lexi who is 3 months old... She was adorable! Makes me miss the baby stage, and ???
Dave & Dave had fun discussing politics(Mike listened), while Staci and I fussed over Lexi and the four kids played liked crazy, they saw a huge snake, a huge scary spider, caught a frog and many other bugs..(They really live in the "city"......) It was a fun time!
The boys fell fast asleep on the way home :)
*Please say a prayer for my Grandmother, she has been in a nursing home for 6 years and is failing fast...Even though some would say it is a blessing, it is still so soon after my Mom....

Friday & Friends

We had our First Club(Moms of 1st Graders) breakfast this morning at my friend Bev's house. She is such a wonderful entertainer! We all brought yummy things to eat and she provided the drinks and her beautiful home. It was a great time with some of my favorite Moms...At each of our place settings, Bev had little gift bags they had a wonderful smelling candle, some treats and this beautiful message:
The glory of friendship is not the outstreched hand, nor the kindly smile, nor the joy of companionship; it is the spiritual inspiration that comes to one when you discover that someone else believes in you and is willing to trust you with a friendship.
Tonight the boys and I decided to cheer on our 1st grade girls in Soccer(I know, I know, two practices and 2 games in a week is not enough for us ;) ) They played an AWESOME game tied 4-4. Afterwords, we went with 4 other family's (19 of us-9 kids) to eat Mexican food. Dave was up at school chalking the fields for tommorows games, and met us there. We had a great time with with some GREAT friends, the kiddos had a blast!

We are so blessed to be involved in such a wonderful school!
