Just breathe.....

March 27th, 2005
My Sweet Boys!
Michael was 5 days old and Matthew was 3 1/2 yrs. old.
It was his 1st Easter, he and I stayed home
&
Matthew went to Geema's with Daddy.
I wonder....where has the time gone? How can my baby be 7 1/2 and my other baby be getting ready to turn 4 in a few weeks! If only time could stand still.....I know we all have those days, weeks, even months where life seems to rush by in a flash. Sometimes, when you STOP and take a breath, you realize how hard it is to breathe.....because you have missed so much!
I hope you "take a breath" this week :)
Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding

Great post... now you know how your Mom & I felt. When your 'in the trenches', sometimes it feels like the days will never end, but then all of a sudden, one day you look up, and your babies are all grown up. I still don't know when it happened. As your grandpa Duke used to say "Too soon old, too late smart".

So true....it was yesterday that we were in the hospital with my oldest son trying to figure out as a couple how to change his diaper...now he's about to turn 8! It all happens so fast!

Thanks, Jennifer. I can't believe next year Alex will be starting high school, Thomas kindergarten, and Lucy preschool! And Sam is already halfway to a year.....crazy. You're always inspiring-thanks for the good cry:)

Oh---I love what your Dad wrote. I was preparing a post about my oldest (who is almost 12!) and it seems like he was born yesterday. It goes so quickly even though the days seem so long.
