Matthew was invited to his second (would be 1st "real") sleepover at his friend from school, Tyler's house with their friend Christopher staying too. He has only spent the night one other place ever, and that was his "Aunt Natalie's"( over the summer). His last try was at his friend Josh's house and he only made it to 9:00.
Sooo I dropped him off with his dinosaur pillow, Pokemon sleeping bag & Pokemon suitcase full of things "guaranteed" to help him make it through the night...I was beginning to think that we had officially made it through the "going to sleep" part of the sleepover, when the phone rang at 10:20, and my friend Bev, said that Matthew wanted to talk to me, about deciding if he was going to stay or leave. I asked him how he was doing. He answered quietly, "okay". Then he said, "Mommy, I tried, but can you come get me?" I asked him if he was sure, and told him that the other kids were going to stay and be going to sleep, and that it was late, but he said he was ready to come home. So I got in the car and headed over to pick him up...it was "only" 12 hours earlier than I had planned....

Thanks Bev for trying......Maybe next time?

This is so sweet....How old is he? It took Nick a long time to even go to a sleepover...he knew he would not make it and tell me to pick him up before bedtime!!

Secretly, it kind of made me feel good that he wouldn't sleep over anywhere and that he wanted to be with his Mom.....

TGIF my friend...enjoy your weekend!

Aw, that's so cute. If he did make it through the night it might be too heartbreaking to know how fast he has grown up!
