A Snow Day........

We had a really great snow day today.....
It is hard to believe that this is our 1st official snow of the year......
We slept in a little this morning and then got to hang out in our pj's for awhile. I made Pumpkin Spice pancakes for breakfast/brunch, and then the boys and I headed outside for some serious sledding....It is always so much going down the hill, walking back up, stinks, especially for Michael and me; he is so little, and I am just "old"!
It was so much fun to see how excited they were. Matthew was so different this year, less fearful and more of a "dare-devil". Michael just wanted to sled with Mommy :) We wanted to build a snowman, but this now is the "fluffy" kind, just won't work :(
After we played outside , we warmed up with some really yummy blue hot cocoa, that we got when we were at Disney in May.....

It was a really fun day!
Hope you enjoyed the pictures...I loved all of them, it was way too hard to choose :)

The snow is STILL falling, and we have Snow Day #2 tomorrow, so I better "rest up"......

What cute pictures!!

Sounds like the perfect day.....how could it not be when you are starting it off with pumpkin pancakes.....they sound delicious!! Our schools are closed today, it started snowing around 8pm last night...the rest of my house is sleeping, but it will be filled with delight in about an hour when they realize school is closed......I might need to get out the frying pan and make some of those pancakes!!

Enjoy snow day number 2:)

You are such a fun and great mom, always making every day special! The pictures and expressions on the boys faces are wonderful!
George and I were just talking about getting snow growing up in STL, it was a big deal. Here we have snow ALL of the time so the kids seem to take it for granted, it's not really a big deal. Besides, it's too cold to even go play in it. We haven't been above the teens in months...freezing! Hope today brought you more snow..because in STL it will be gone in no time!
