In Loving Memory.....

Bette

April 6th, 1923-September 14th, 2008

I will miss my Grandmother(Granny). She had been suffering from Alzheimer's for at least the last 6 years, I have so many fond memories of her, especially from my childhood. From making cookies together, to family dinners, to the special cakes she always made me. We had so many traditions, Easter Egg hunts with the best dyed Easter Eggs(she used REAL dye), and Fireworks on the 4th of July with "finger jello", Turkey dinners, and Christmas Eve celebrations, with stockings and her red, green and white jello salad. As I reminisce, I realize all of the things she taught me and all of the memories that were made. I have carried so many of these on with own family.

I will miss you & I love you Granny Bets!

One of her favorite poems:
Grow old along with me! The best is yet to be, the last of life, for which the first was made. Our times are in his hand who saith, 'A whole I planned, youth shows but half; Trust God: See all, nor be afraid!'”

Robert Browning

I'm so sorry Jennifer! Grandmas are so unbelievably special and so hard to lose. :( Your grandma was such a pretty lady, I see you in her! I love all the memories you have with her, she sounds like such a special woman. I will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers. Love, Lucy

You have some great memories of your Grandma - praise God for that! And what a blessing that she got to meet your sons!
